Mid 20th Century British Royal Navy Brass Bound Oak Grog Barrel w/Brass Letters

About the Item

British Naval oak grog barrel or tub, used aboard British ships. The tapered barrel of staved oak with three brass bands. The ‘Royal Toast’, in large brass letters between the bands "THE QUEEN" / "GOD BLESS HER", on top a heavy lid with brass acorn finial on a star shaped plate.
