Silvery steel hammered iron, illuminated Art Deco hall tree/coat rack w/console
About the Item
This elegantly appointed illuminated original French Art Deco hall tree, hand-hammered in iron, comes complete with hat, coat, umbrella, and shelf accommodations. The linear design is complemented by six round copper hooks, while a griotte marble-topped console at the center offers both anchoring and a convenient surface. An unusual frosted tubular glass light placed rightfully just below the sunrise motif top shelf of this coat rack, serves as a gentle glow, night light, or entry beacon.
The original, long, rectangular beveled mirror provides a practical check before leaving or upon return. This foyer rack showcases beautiful martele hammering in a dark silvery gunmetal hue with a slight sheen, and it retains its original thick marble shelf featuring striations of russet, brown, brick, white, and grey shades. The two umbrella or cane accommodations have brass liners .
Conveniently, a foot switch controls the light.
Top hat rack is 12" deep, depth at bottom is 6"
Center console shelf = 14" x 6" deep.
Actual width 39.5, with copper handles extending outward 40 1/4" wide
Mirror can be changed if desired for an additional charge.
Both functional and aesthetic, this versatile portemanteau can be used in an entry foyer, a mud room, back room, hallway, entry, even a bathroom as a towel rack or organization accessory or in a kitchen or portico and can complement any setting Organic Modern, Industrial, Mediterranean, Moorish, Arts & Crafts, Hollywood Regency, Traditional, Transitional, Mid Century, Modern, French Modern, Country, Cottage, Adirondack, Folk art, Minimalist, Machine Age, Vienna Secession, Black Forest, ...
