Very Fine George III Tortoiseshell Pique Etui Made, Most Probably in London

About the Item

The Etui is of an unusual large size and has a hinged cover. The exterior is decorated, on both the front and reverse, with neoclassical garlands of foliate motifs, flowers and bluebell drops, tied with paterae. Both the front and the reverse also display a navette shaped cartouche and star motifs. The top is also decorated with a floral motif and this piece is in excellent condition. Measures: Length 3 inches, 7.5cm. Width 1.75 inches, 4.38cm.
