"Timeless Synthetic rug Inspired By Famous Artist William Morris" Timeless Synthetic rug inspired by the famous artist William Morris. Its foliage, its flowers mingle in complex geometric compositions with dazzling colors. In the edges of the main field we can observe the dazzling Camellia, a romantic flower native to Eastern Asia which symbolizes strength. The famous dressmaker Cocco Chanel said: "Camellias are so beautiful that they don't need perfume to charm us..." Art Movement. The industrial revolution in Great Britain in the 19th century profoundly changed society. . In reaction to industrialization considered to be dehumanizing, to mass production of furniture, to the abandonment of artisanal techniques, William Morris and John Ruskin founded the “Arts en Craft” movement which would inspire the Ecole de Nancy a few years later. in France and paved the way for Art Deco in the 20th century. These craftsmen, most often architects by training like William Morris, manufacture individually elegantly simple furniture, most often geometric shapes in beautiful materials that fit into an interior decor designed as a whole. Other decorative elements, carpets, fabrics and wallpapers are essential in interior decorations, William Morris, is passionate about patterns inspired by nature. These prints created at the end of the 19th century went through the 20th century. Today, “vintage” fashion is bringing them up to date. Carpets, fabrics and wallpapers continue to decorate our very cozy interiors.

    Minor structural damages. Condition : 10 holes at the level of the wide border at the bottom right of the carpet, 65cm long and 45cm wide. The holes are tiny in proportion to the size of the carpet. Two small tasks, otherwise its condition is impeccable.
