Antique Bidjar Carpet
About the Item
An especially detailed Bidjar, colourful and intricate. The dynamism of the outer border -and the field – exhibit the high degree of art and craft typical of Bidjar carpets – which are known as the iron carpets of Asia. This is due to the hammering of knots in warp and weft to achieve great density. This is a piece which will withstand the wear of at least two generations. In excellent condition.
