Early 19th Century English Armorial Axminster Carpet (14'4" x 16'2" - 437 x 497) This is a particularly colorful late Regency period Axminster carpet, with an astonishing double floral and ribbon garland border on ivory. The small, salmon-orange field is anchored by jewel-like corner escutcheons and is asymmetrically filled with swirling acanthus arabesques.
