Liberty and Co, attr. in the style of Leonard Wyburd. An oak wing back armchair
About the Item
Liberty and Co, attributed, in the style of Leonard Wyburd. An Arts and Crafts oak wing back armchair with unusual upper open sides. The back supports curve down through to the back legs. The forward part of the wings follow down through the arms and seat to meet the lower side stretchers which are united by an under seat stretcher, giving the armchair a subtle Anglo-Japanese style about it. A great design, sturdy and very well made with chamfered edges throughout which stop and start before where the joints meet and feet end. Professionally re upholstered in a quality green chequered fabric.

There are some marks around the frame with an indentation to note to the top of one arm. The edges to the legs are knocked with use.
