About the Item
The artfully designed Woven Bench combines form, function, and delicate craftsmanship. Its frame is made using mortise and tenon joinery, ensuring durability and longevity for years to come. The bench gets its name from its braided rope seating, providing comfort, support, and a mesmerizing pattern. Woven using a hard-wearing craft paper, it can take up to 200 kilos. Comfortably accommodating two people at once, this bench is an ideal addition to a sprawling dining table or as a rest stop within an entryway. Lightweight and with a handle on either side, the Woven Bench can easily be moved around if needed. Combining minimalism with rustic Asian design, this walnut bench is made all the more beautiful for its clean and simple lines. Optional linen seat padding is also available.
Never limited by aesthetics, Zeng Qiang and his studio, 12H, are a testament to design evolution. With a young team of creatives, they test the limitations of design and craft. Whilst also paying homage to a craftsmanship style that heavily relies on ancient techniques. 12H does not cater to the trends and whims of furniture design; instead, they forge ahead with works that will stand the test of time. Their credo: A marriage of all things traditional with modern elements— making them truly unique.
