About the Item
Superb and very rare chair from the "Antonio Volpe Anonymous Company" with a double bent beech processing technique.
Front legs with a circular section while the rear with a rectangular section.
Bow under the triple curved seat.
The seat, like all Antonio Volpe chairs, has a bending joint welded with a double 12mm pin.
The seat has Vienna straw with giant rhombuses as in addition to the classic seat it can be used as a support for any padding for the upholstery. ( see photo )
Note the high school of wood bending masters as the chair is in blond beech and there is no break on all the bends.
It is no coincidence that some of Antonio Volpe's models until recently were attributed to Hoffmann (see the rocking chair) for his high professionalism in wood bending and his innovative design.
