Italian modern Folding chairs mod. Plia in red metal and trasparent abs by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli, 1970s
Set of three folding chairs mod. Plia with squared seat and backrest in yellowed transparent ABS plastic. The structure is in orange-red painted steel.
They were produced by Anonima Castelli in 1970s and designed by Giancarlo Piretti. Brand present under the seat.
Vintage condition, the yellowed plastic shows light signs of use. Lacks of paint scattered on the metal.

Giancarlo Piretti
Giancarlo Piretti was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1940. He attended art schools there and subsequently taught Interior Design. During that time, he was also designing furniture for Anonima Castelli. He has won numerous awards and has items in many museums, including MoMA, New York. He still lives and works in Bologna with his son, designer Alessandro Piretti.
