Capture the spirit of the 1970's with this fabulous sofa attributed to Henning Kjærnulf. Crafted from quarter-sawn white oak, the frame features sculpted handrests that offer a pleasing tactile experience and speak to the thoughtfulness of the design. The cushions are finished in traditional Scandinavian woven "Olmer" stripe fabric in rich tones of green and gold. NOTE: A pair of matching armchairs is also available in our storefront! Henning Kjærnulf is among the exalted few designers to possess a voice so singular and a body of work so prolific as to be credited with the invention of an entire design style. Kjærnulf's iconic "Danish Brutalist" furniture playfully combines elements from earlier design movements - including the Arts & Crafts, Rococo, and Jacobean styles - with Modern sculpted details and a Scandinavian palette of natural blonde woods to create a look that is both entirely unique and instantly recognizable.
