S01 Stool by Pierre Chapo, France, 1970s

About the Item

The iconic S01 stool by Pierre Chapo is notable for its square thick top, rounded and inclined edges. In 1962 Pierre Chapo set out to modernize the farm stool with a reinterpretation of its traditional design. The S01 keeps the robust and rustic look of the original form, but is more streamlined and can used in a myriad of ways, such as a stool, side table, dining chair. The depth of the patina of this stool is beautiful. One of the edges has a slight dent underneath, but this is barely visible and is attributed to its age and use over time. We are at your disposal if you would like further information or details. We currently have 3 original vintage S01 stools available. If you would like a pair we will select the two that work best together.
