Swedish 19th century flame mahogany breakfront bookcase
About the Item
Early 19th century Scandinavian empire flame mahogany breakfront bookcase circa 1820.
Stunning bookcase of grand proportions veneered in golden flame mahogany. Bookcase comprises of 7 sections which screw together to. 3 sections to the base, 3 glazed sections and a cornice.
Central double door glazed cabinet containing 4 fully adjustable shelves, flanked either side by a single door cabinet each containing 5 further shelves. Central door decorated with a carved shell, surmounted by an architectural cornice.
Double door cupboard to the lower section containing 2 shelves, with 2 shelves to the left single door cupboard and a bank of 3 fitted drawers to the right hand side. Further decorated with carved shells.
Standing on bracket feet.
Just fully restored and hand re-polished in our workshop. Expected minor surface marks and restorations to veneer.
