1800s French Walnut Four Drawer Commode

About the Item

Found in the South of France, this 18th century French Chest of Drawers is constructed of solid walnut having a serpentine front with conforming top, drawers and apron rest on hand carved feet. Each of the four drawers with dovetail joinery feature brass pulls with keyhole escutcheons on the lower larger drawers and a keyhole escutcheon between the top two smaller drawers. The brass hardware placed on the top two drawers is slightly smaller and different than the brass hardware on the two larger drawers, which only adds to the charm of this commode. This piece, with its beautiful craftsmanship, graceful lines and lovely walnut finish will bring a touch of French refinement to any interiors. 53"W x 26"D x 36"H
