English Mahogany Five-Drawer Chest

About the Item

English mahogany five-drawer chest has boxwood string inlay and boxwood diamond inlaid escutcheons. The frieze has carved blind fretwork, and the corners have fluted quarter columns with the original solid brass capitals and bases. The top is cross banded and framed with boxwood inlay, but it has some shrinkage cracking and surface scars.
