Small Elm Wood Louis XVI Chest of Drawers, Denmark circa 1870-90

About the Item

A Danish late 18th century Louis XVI chest of three drawers. Serpentine front topped with carved Greek key motif. The dark, rich patina of the elm wood reflects generations of use. Note cracks/separation of wood in particularly the top and back. Restored, strong, stable and ready for use. No key included. Cracks in the wood. Wear, marks, stains and scratches. All scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this attractive commode.
