18th Century English Mahogany Leather Top Partners Desk with Carved Birds
About the Item
A fine proportion mahogany rectangular partners desk with brown leather top with a crossbanded border with delicate carving, surmounting a frieze with two fitted and cockbeaded document drawers on the front and back, each decorated with brass foliate swag pulls flanked by carved birds, all supported by scroll and foliate carved tapered legs. The desk is English in origin, dating to the 18th century, in very good condition, with some leather cracks, discoloration, scratches, and wear commensurate with age and use. Great size and proportions! Dimensions: 30.5 in H x 44 in W x 35.75 in D.
