Nineteenth Century Hand Carved Walnut Henri II Vitrine with Beveled Glass Doors
About the Item
Standing at just over seven feet in height, this tall, narrow French Henri II walnut vitrine features beveled glass on three sides. Hand carved rosettes detail the sides and corners, and the doors are decorated with lower panels of hand carved scrolling leaves. The top is appointed with a central cartouche flanked by gadrooning leaves. Its two doors open to allow access to its five adjustable shelves lined with a red fabric. The cabinet rests on bun feet. A handsome cabinet with a small footprint to display a collection of objets d'art, circa 1890. Includes one key with functioning lock.
