A Fabulous Early 19th Century Irish Regency Turn Over Leaf Tea Table
About the Item
A fabulous early 19th Century Irish Regency mahogany turn over leaf tea table, finely hand carved and of exceptional quality with rich patination and grain. The well figured, moulded hinged top of rectangular form is crossbanded with rosewood and raised over a simple panelled frieze flanked with beautiful scroll and foliate detail. Supported on ring turned baluster pod above quatrefoil base with elegant outscrolling sabre legs with fluted detail, terminating on brass and ceramic casters.
