William and Mary Marquetry Card Table

About the Item

Rare William and Mary marquetry inlaid round card table, the top profusely inlaid with floral deration flanked by two birds over a scrolled acanthus leaf festoon, opening to reveal baize lined playing surface with the aces of clubs and spades, the Queen of hearts and the Jack of diamonds, over floral inlaid frieze, apron and scalloped skirt and standing on turned ebonized legs joined by scalloped and inlaid stretchers and standing on bun feet. England or Netherlands, circa 1690.
