About the Item
A stunning and extremely decorative Italian 18th century Louis XV st. wrought iron, gilt metal, and marble console. The wall mounted console is raised by a fine scalloped base from where the impressive pieced scrolled supports lead upwards. Each support displays most elegant foliate movements adorned with large striking gilt metal acanthus leaves, finely beaded designs, and a beautiful impressive central family crest reserve. Above is the superb thick marble top with a fine double mottled border.
