About the Item
This antique cylinder front desk is a stunning piece of furniture that is sure to catch the eye of any antique lover. A 1780’s dutch that features a unique bombe shape with a cylinder front opening over 3 drawers. It has mahogany veneer over oak, a dovetail & hand-wrought nailed construction. The interior has numerous drawers and cubby holes. It has cabriole legs with ormolu mounts & ormolu escutcheons. It features drawer pulls in elaborate swagged garland with bows.
The desk is made from high-quality materials and is perfect for use as a writing desk or for storing important documents. The desk comes with ample storage space and has plenty of drawers for all your storage needs.
There are some minor veneer repairs that have been acceptably done. There is some gilding loose on ormolu mounts on legs; very good condition.
