Midcentury Round White Glass and Brass Italian Side Table, 1940
About the Item
This side table has a very luxurious appearance, due the use of not common materials, that blend nicely together.
The coffee table is round in shape and of good size, it is formed by a lacquered wood structure with black shellac; as you can see from the photos, the structure is banded in nailed brass, the part of the edge of the top. The top of the table is in glass, while the top below have a wood structure lacquered in black shellac. Note the beautiful design of the two coupled legs; a gently curved band of wood runs from one side to the other. underneath there are slippers in black lacquered wood.
