Antique 17th Century Style Spanish Walnut Brass Iron Warming Brazier Table 1880

About the Item

A fine antique Spanish Baroque carved walnut & brass warming or brazier table, circa 1880. The table having a central removeable brass twin handle pan, the table is finely carved with mythical griffins and floral foliate design, the table top having iron leaf shaped mounts. The table having an incised carved base and is raised on turned ball shaped legs with stylized claw feet. Condition is very good.

A very elegant Italian carved walnut Renaissance Revival library dining table, circa 1880. The table top edge having two bands of carved gadrooned decoration, underneath the top there are two corbel carved brackets at each corner of the, the table skirt having a carved arcaded frieze on each side. The table is raised on four substantial square ribbed legs with Corinthian capitals, the table is joined with a carved 'H' frame stretcher and raised on carved zoomorphic lion's paw feet.
