A modernist blue and green motif watercolor painting by the portuguese Master Painter Manuel Cargaleiro, signed, dated and authenticated - 1968.
In the global art scene, Manuel Cargareiro gained notoriety by showcasing his artwork in Brazil, Japan, and European nations like Switzerland and Italy. In Paris, where he resided (on Boulevard Isabel Brito da Mana with Raspail) and created more intense works, he continued to travel and explore Portugal. His ceramics and paintings, created in Gien between 1960 and 1965, show his affinity for French expressionism as well as his relationship with the Russians Goncharov and Larionov, who were among the first practitioners of Rayonism. Thick brushstrokes, rich expressive effects, light plays, and vibrant color lines define these pieces. Biomorphic structures emerged in the artist's paintings between 1965 and 1969.
