Early 19th century hand colored comedic satirical nautical maritime rowing engraving titled "Life on the Water. Symptoms of "Heavy Whet;" or a Drap too much for the 'uncommonly big Gentleman.'" Drawn and engraved by Robert Cruikshanks. Speckled wood frame with carved beaded / rope twist detail and inner border; white mat.
"Isaac Robert Cruikshank, sometimes known as Robert Cruikshank (27 September 1789 – 13 March 1856), was a caricaturist, illustrator and portrait miniaturist, the less well-known brother of George Cruikshank, both sons of Isaac Cruikshank.
