Pair of Jacques Laudin ii Enamel Plaques, circa 1665-1729
About the Item
A captivating pair of 17th-century Limoges enamel plaques by Jacques Laudin II of the renowned Laudin family dynasty of enamellers. Entitled ‘Jesus Amabilis’ and ‘Mater Amabilis’ featuring noir backgrounds, gold highlighting and decorative polychrome lilies. The mid-nineteenth century carved gilt frames accentuate the gold used by Laudin and add a wonderful depth to the plaques. Both are titled and signed to the lower right-hand corner with monogram ‘JL’. Price is for the pair.

- Carved Antique American Double Picture Frame Depicting US Navy CrestLocated in Dallas, TXHand-carved in the United States in the early 20th century, the focal point of this double picture frame is the stylized naval insignia. Both glass frames, which fit 6 x 4 photos, currently contain a pair of near antique black and white postcards (they are included). The frame on the left has a print of a circa 1930 George Harris photograph of the USS Constitution, aka “Old Ironsides”.
