About the Item
Antique original wallpaper fireboard. An interior scene combining elements of still life and animal art with a dog and cat depicted beneath a table displaying flora, fruit, bread, wine, and other forms. Original wood back replaced and now presented on rectangular wood board backing.
--Fireboards were used in homes to cover the fireplace in the Summer months. This rare handpainted example is wonderful as it depicts an actual fireplace with tools pets and flowers.
