The art deco period was marked by an exuberance for all things new and marked a dramatic shift in style and culture. This bracelet was created in the moment of this great shift, and we can imagine a young woman clasping this bracelet on her wrist, checking her fashionably bobbed hair in the mirror, and stepping out for a night of dancing in her new drop-waisted dress. It must have been quite a sight to behold, and so removed from our modern world, and yet we have wearable pieces from this time available to us! In the spirit of all things new, white gold and synthetic sapphires were brand new inventions on the jewelry scene and were not only modern marvels at the time and prized as such, but they also made the look of platinum and natural sapphires more available to jewelry shoppers looking to follow the latest trends. This 14k white gold bracelet with four bright blue rectangular synthetic sapphire showcases both of the modern jewelry marvels of the time. For additional sparkle, 0.10tcw of H-I color, I1-I2 clarity diamonds are also set in the beautiful openwork design of this bracelet. The bracelet measures 7.25" long and features a safety chain in the unlikely event that you inadvertently open the clasp while you are dancing the night away like its original owner. While the overall condition of this bracelet is good, we do want to note that the synthetic blue sapphires are abraded due to the age of the piece.
