Art Deco 1915 Convertible Necklace 18kt Gold and Platinum with 2.43 Cts Diamonds

Art Deco convertible necklace-brooch. Beautiful convertible necklace-brooch, created in America during the transition of the late Edwardian and the early art-deco periods, circa 1915. This piece was carefully crafted in yellow gold of 18 karats with .900/.999 platinum on top for the gemstones settings. Can be used as a necklace with a chain as pictured or wear as a brooch, since is adapted to be converted. The six main diamonds are mounted into bezel settings, they are European cut and have a combined weight of 1.62 carats, F/G color, VS clarity. Surrounded by 54 minors rose cut diamonds, 0.81 carats, VS/SI. Mount in the center with one semi round natural white pearl of 5.2 mm. The gemstones settings are finished with a delicate millegrain patterns. Has a total weight of 12.2 Grams and a measurements of 40 mm by 29 mm (1.57 x 1.14 Inches). The removable chain is 17.5 Inches (42.8 Cm). No marks, tested for 18kt Gold and .900 Platinum. Note: Millegrain is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry. This convertible oversized Maltese pendant-brooch has been carefully assembled with elements crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with brushed, satined, textured and polished finish, creating a great surfaces contrast.
