English Victorian Angelic Cameo Gold Frame Brooch by J. Mouhe
About the Item
Cherubs dancing on clouds adorn this heavenly antique bull's mouth shell cameo brooch carved in mid century France by a Parisian by the name of J. Mouhe and set with an ornate 18K gold bezel in England. It is signed by the carver, J. Mouhe, as a testament to this fine and deeply crafted work of art. Signed cameos are often difficult to read as signatures are usually quite literally scratched onto the back of the shell , but if you look carefully you will see it. When contrasted against other cameos with the signature J. Mouhe, it is the same. We have photographed the back of the cameo so you can make out the signature for yourself.
