French Art Nouveau Naturalistic Papillon De Nuit Brooch Brooch
About the Item
Large French Art Nouveau natural horn brooch, finely hand carved, depicting a large naturalistic night moth. The iridescence in the natural horn allows this to become the perfect material to bring this design to life. Hand carved with amazing detailing, the darker areas left in relief to form the body of the insect. France 1900.
Excellent Condition.
