About the Item
A very smart and highly wearable pair of clear paste earrings, classic and timeless, by Attwood and Sawyer, makers of very high quality costume jewellery from the UK. Easy to wear and very versatile, any easy 'go to' fashion accessory.
Attwood and Sawyer, founded in Wales in 1956, produced high-end imitation jewellery and made copies of precious jewellery from the 18th to 19th centuries. Hubert Attwood had previously worked with the great Mitchel Maer, who produced jewellery for Christian Dior in the early 1950s, and took on the business, under a different name, when Mitchel Maer closed. They made jewellery for TV shows and beauty contests and sold their designs in high end retail outlets around the world. The company also produced a historical collection of exact copies of the jewellery of the Duchess of Windsor. The company was bought out in 2001.
