About the Item
Vintage oversized round clip-on statement earrings comprised out of gilt metal featuring a carved tribal design. The earrings are signed Isabel Canovas, circa 1980-1990 made in France.
Isabel Canovas was a high fashion costume jewelry designer who started her career working for Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton prior to establishing her own label "Isabel Canovas". In 1982 she opened her own luxury accessories company with three locations Paris, New York, and Madrid which lasted for ten years. She created limited series of fashion accessories, specially Bijoux de Fantaisie (costume jewelry), many adorned by colored poured glass "pate de verre" inspired by her world travels.
