About the Item
A lovely example of Christine MacKellar's 'urban organic' style, this pair of oxydized sterling silver open circle earrings features round fresh water black pearls. The accents and the ear wires are both 18k yellow gold. The ear wires include a back clasp for added security & closure. Circles are 1/2" wide by 3/4" long. Priced to sell at $395.
British born and educated Brooklyn artist, Christine Mackellar creates modern jewelry by fusing sterling silver with high karat gold. Her pieces reflect her ‘urban organic’ theme that is inspired by nature while it simultaneously reflects an urban sensibility. Ms MacKellar creates texture with hammers, engraving tools and a rolling mill to bring out intricate surface patterns and a variety of subtle color variations. Small, bright gems add depth & character to her distinctive jewelry.
