Antique Gold Gilt Metal Long Guard Chain Brass Sovereign Coin Holder Pendant
About the Item
Antique gold gilt metal long guard chain with dog clip, and featuring an attached brass sovereign coin holder pendant. The dog clip would have originally been used to hold a pocket watch. The coin holder has decoration to the front and opens by pressing the top. Inside is a spring loaded coin holder with an image Edward VII. It measures diameter 3.2 cm / 1.25 inches. The chain measures length 123.5 cm / 48.6 inches, and the dog clip is length 2.5 cm / .98 inch, it has wear to the gold gilt.
This beautiful quality box chain with an attached Edwardian coin holder, is an unusual antique piece and would make a stylish necklace.
