Armando Lozano Ramírez Surrealist Fish Face Necklace and Earrings Set
About the Item
This unique necklace and earrings set was made by Mexican artist Armando Lozano Ramirez. The fish motif is utilized to great effect, creating an abstract face in the necklace. The dangling eyes and nose are fish, and a tiny puckered mouth is suspended below the nose. The surreal imagery is rendered in bronze in a brutalist, yet whimsical style.
The earrings measure about 1.63" wide x 3" long (not including the hook part that goes through the ear).
The necklace has an overall length of about 17.5", with the chain part being 12" long and the pendant section being about 3.75" wide x 5.5" long.
There is a little "S" hook attached to one of the chain links. I'm not sure what its purpose is, but perhaps to allow for adjusting the length.
