About the Item

Beautiful 583 Gold, Silver, Emerald and Diamonds Halo Ring. Metal is solid 14k/ 583 Yellow Gold with clusters in white Gold featuring bezel set natural untreated Emerald cabochon cut 12 mm x 10 mm x 7 mm deep / ca. 6 ct .Stone is semitransparent of vivid Green color with flows and inclusions inside. The crown is 18 mm x 15 mm x 10 mm x deep. Emerald stone is accented with twenty equally sized rose cut diamonds Ø 2 mm / 0.04 ct each, total weight ca. 0.8 ctw. All stones have backs open. Size: Ø US 10 / 19.84 Weight: 5.5 grams. Hallmarked rather unconventionally : with USSR period 583 Gold hallmarks that show it was checked / handled or made in 1960 in at Jewelry Factory of Erevan city, capital of former Soviet Armenia. Hallmarks are only present on the plate of gold that supports the Emerald from the back side and no hallmarks on the band that were mandatory on all Soviet- made Rings of that period. That makes me believe that this ring was checked or handled by some jeweler in Erevan in 1960 and that this ring could be made somewhere else and date from older period, like 1900s -1920s. Fine used condition. Minor wear on emerald's surface due to age and wear visible under x 10 magnification. All diamonds match and intact, secure settings. >
