Construct disPLayed 4462

Displayed on a digital screen, again time is taken out of the equation. However the artist searched currently for a more unreal figuration of what was happening. Not so much the construct of time is highlighted in these images, but the visual result of moving stills around and taking a single shot. The result is a disPlayed picture that feels further away from reality due to the fact that the real thing is twice ‘taken’ by the artist. This double action, you could say, causes a glitch in time-reality which veils the pictures in a futuristic patina. Not to be comprehended as such, Construct disPLayed is above all ment to be wondered.

Buro Bruno is a design firm, started by Bruno van Hooijdonk in 1998, uncompromising and scouring onto the outskirts of art and design. Bruno transforms the flat into spatial design. More important is the transition from one dimension to another and not so much the end result. He actually puts the flat shape (or parts of it) into motion, until it is what it should be. Due to the dynamics of the process, the movement in the design continues to exist and creates an unambiguous and non-static end product.
