"Landed"

Cynthia DiDonato “ Landed” 4800 x 6000 Pixels 300 dpi “Landed” continues the collection of interpretative landscapes. Land is synonymous with earth. While we view earth as something we can touch and feel, it is not separate from us but part of the cosmos in which all elements exist. Chief Seattle reminds us of this when he said: “The earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.”

Cynthia DiDonato is an award winning multidisciplinary artist who exhibits her artwork both nationally and internationally. She often blends analog and digital tools to create her art. She is also a techspressionist which is an "artistic approach in which technology is utilized as a means to express emotional experience." She is continually fascinated by the nature of reality. She subscribes to the view stated by Leonard Schlain that: “Revolutionary art and visionary physics are both investigations into the nature of reality”. She creates very personal artworks of non-representational “seen” and “unseen” landscapes and 2D sculptural artworks through artistic imagination and intuition to open doors of viewer perception. Color, shape, texture, line and atmosphere are her visual language.
