Sixteen years ago, 1stdibs was established to help the Interior Designers, Architects, and other members of the Trade, find the most beautiful things on earth.  Since then, the site has evolved into an e-commerce platform that does much more:  follows trends in the industry; spotlights both up-and-coming and revered Designers and Dealers; and enables the Trade to purchase items online on behalf of their clients.  We are aggressively looking to grow the team responsible for generating sales and strengthening relationships with the Trade.

As Concierge Product Sourcing Specialist, you will provide high-touch assistance to interior designers and architects by researching and sourcing furniture and fine art products within the 1stdibs Marketplace. In conjunction with the Business Development and Account Management team, you will help buyers find unique pieces based on their specifications.

We are looking for a creative, self-motivated, and resourceful individual who will be an advocate for our Trade buyers on 1stdibs. This person must love working with people to curate unique pieces and to provide a seamless shopping experience.   

What you’ll do

  • Work cross-functionally with Concierge, Dealer Account Management, and Trade Account Management teams
  • Find furniture and fine art pieces from 1stdibs existing supply and liaising with our dealer network for our interior design community based on specifications collected by our sales teams
  • Initial research and sourcing of design elements based on project specifications

What you’ll bring

  • Degree and 1-2 years of experience in interior design or relative industries
  • In-depth knowledge of interior design trends, history of furniture, furniture designers, furniture specifying, and decorative arts
  • Understanding of the ins and outs of the interior design industry to effectively and quickly source products
  • Knowledge and/or existing relationships with key players and suppliers in the industry
  • Proven success in sourcing products via the Internet
  • Acute attention to detail and superb organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
