Dealer Acquisition Specialist, Contemporary - UK

Our ever expanding international business is now operating from Wyboston Lakes in Bedfordshire and we are seeking motivated self starters with an entrepreneurial mindset and adaptable attitude to join our UK office. We are seeking an industrious, commercially astute and focused Sales Person to identify international opportunities and grow 1stdibs contemporary dealer network. This role is critical to 1stdibs’ growth and positioning as the world’s leading online marketplace for the most beautiful things on earth.

Fully supported by our Sales Director and backed by a highly resourced start up, you will have a proven track record of closing leads, combined with the adeptness to build relationships with contemporary designers, showrooms and galleries. We would expect OTE of £70k per annum for our new team member. 

What you’ll do

  • Proactively identify and qualify leads, in partnership with the dealer acquisition team and internal category specialists
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly goals of new accounts closed
  • Represent the 'face' of 1stdibs with prospects and new accounts, including face-to-face meetings and through attendance of events and tradeshows (requires occasional travel)
  • Develop creative sales strategies and collateral to reach high-priority prospects
  • Regularly assess inventory needs and proactively seek out new partners that will help to meet our expansion goals
  • Conduct some pre-sale qualification/information gathering meetings with prospects
  • Plan approaches and pitches and share information back to the broader team on what is working, especially in new market segments
  • Meticulous sales pipeline management through Salesforce 

What you’ll bring

  • Proactive, confident and driven approach
  • Demonstrated ability to identify sales opportunities and convert prospects to customers; evidence of consistently exceeding sales targets
  • High degree of professionalism, accuracy, and follow-up
  • 2-3 years sales or business development experience
  • Self-motivated, creative, results driven, solution oriented, direct and organized
  • Ability to remain focused and flexible during rapid change; experience in startup environments a strong plus
  • Solid computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skill
  • Ability to identify and leverage new business opportunities
  • Well presented, self-motivated, ability to work independently, and within an entrepreneurial environment
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Experience in ecommerce/online business an advantage
  • Experience within fine art/galleries/luxury brand an advantage
