General Manager - SaaS

We are currently looking for an exceptional General Manager (SaaS)  who will be leveraging 1stdibs customers and resources to grow our B2B SaaS tool, Design Manager, that 1stdibs has recently acquired. Design Manager is a tool for interior designers to manage their businesses, from project management to accounting (processing $1 billion+ transactions annually) and we are investing in both improving their core product and identifying integrations with the 1stdibs Trade platform.

You will be responsible for the overall business & product strategy and execution for Design Manager. You will work cross functionally with Engineering, Product and Design to define the roadmap, drive strategy, prioritize and plan initiatives. You will have direct responsibility for Design Manager’s marketing, sales, and operations teams and  executing on projects like developing Go-to-Market strategies for launching future iterations of the Design Manager product. 

This is a truly unique leadership role, perfect for a proven Saas product leader who is excited to help drive a new initiative for 1stdibs and  able to take on full P&L responsibilities. The Design Manager office is located in Doylestown Pennsylvania and the role will require frequent travel to their offices. 


What you’ll do

  • Refining sales pitch and processes and measuring efficacy
  • Reporting out to exec team on KPIs and developing OKRs and product roadmap
  • Developing action plans to ensure customer retention
  • Org design for both current team and future growth
  • Work with the Research team to evaluate existing pain points in the Design Manager buyer experience as well as opportunities to attract new users to the product
  • Work with Engineering to understand the current infrastructure of the Design Manager product and develop strategies on key changes necessary to support necessary product updates
  • Work with Design to identify key product updates for the Design Manager experience and how the product integrates with the 1stdibs platform
  • Develop and Execute on a Product roadmap that addresses key goals for Design Manager and it’s integration into 1stdibs
  • Develop key success metrics, and work with analytics to analyze the results of product updates and changes
  • Manage projects using agile methodologies

What you'll bring

  • 7 - 10+ years of experience in a General Manager SaaS or product management using agile methodologies
  • Experience within SaaS is a must
  • A passion for helping teams work more productively as well as experience with change management
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with Sales and Marketing to launch new products and product features
  • Entrepreneurial with experience conceptualizing and building complex new products as well as launching new products and driving commercial adoption
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with Sales and Marketing to launch new products and product features
  • Understanding of database design and experience working on complex systems with Backend engineering teams
  • Possess strong verbal, written and visual presentation skills with a deep understanding of the value in storytelling
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan, direct and organize product roadmaps
  • Strong ability to use metrics to inform decision making
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and high growth environment
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top institution required, MBA background a plus
