We are currently seeking a Furniture Dealer Acquisition Specialist who can introduce 1stdibs to top dealers globally in the Furniture category. This role is critical to 1stdibs’ growth and positioning as the world’s leading online marketplace for the most beautiful things on earth.

This role will require a self-sufficient, business-minded individual who is highly adept at prospecting, as well as building and closing new relationships with sophisticated merchants (“dealers”). You will be based from our main EU office in Wyboston, Cambridgeshire in this highly incentivized, flexible and rewarding position!

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prospect, identify and qualify leads, in partnership with the EU Sales Director
  • Consistently achieve monthly sales targets outlined by the EU Sales Director
  • Successfully transition new accounts to the account management team
  • Help develop sales strategies and collateral to achieve sales goals
  • Utilise Salesforce to maintain detailed accounts of sales activity
  • Proactively identify and qualify leads, in partnership with the dealer acquisition team
    and internal category specialists
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly goals of new accounts closed
  • Represent ‘the face’ of 1stdibs with prospects and new accounts, including face-to-
    face meetings and through attendance of events and tradeshows
  • Develop creative sales strategies and collateral to reach high-priority prospects
  • Regularly assess inventory needs and proactively seek out new partners that will
    help to meet our expansion goals

 

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience within a business-to-business sales, business development or contracting sales role
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in luxury preferred; start-up and e-commerce experience a plus
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a self-directed, fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly
  • Ability to adapt and tailor your approach when dealing with different personalities
  • Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external decision makers
  • Excellent writing, speaking, presentation and computer skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bi/Multilingual candidates preferred
