Partner Operations Associate, New & Custom

1stdibs has always been known for one-of-a-kind vintage and antique offerings, but in the past three years, we’ve also expanded our business to partner with the best contemporary brands and makers in the industry. As this exciting new vertical continues to grow, we are looking for a Partner Operations Associate to help drive our New & Custom category. 

In this role, you will provide high-touch assistance to our New & Custom furniture partners, both artisans and manufacturers, in conjunction with the Partner Management and Business Development teams. You will handle important day-to-day tasks that increase their sales on the 1stdibs platform, such as daily and weekly management of their accounts, their collections, and their orders. We are looking for a highly organized, self-motivated, and resourceful individual who will be an advocate for seller success on 1stdibs. This person must love working with people to build and maintain accounts and must be able to remain professional and helpful under pressure.

What you'll do

  • Be a thought partner with the Team Lead to help develop best practices and optimize operational processes
  • Act as an independent contributor to the team, carrying out initiatives from beginning to end with minimal direction and/or supervision
  • Support partner managers in on-boarding and training new partners -- educating them on the seller dashboard, order processing, inventory and search engine optimization best practices, etc.
  • Create visibility for partners by aggregating item assets (product images, details, descriptions, etc.) from partners and organize listings on their behalf
  • Increase buyer engagement and conversion by appropriately managing, maintaining, and curating all partner inventory, particularly during partner marketing and promotion
  • Track and monitor partner engagement with the 1stdibs platform, ensuring posting and reposting is maintained, buyer messages and orders are addressed, and sales activity is high
  • Drive and maintain partner satisfaction by providing excellent and timely service in all seller interactions
  • Take part in research and other tasks to support the overall New & Custom strategy and initiative

Not a requirement, but a plus!

  • Knowledge of visual merchandising, art history, material culture and/or furniture design
  • Knowledge of and experience with dealers and luxury products
  • Knowledge of SEO
  • Salesforce.com proficiency
