About

This mid to late 20th century watercolor on paper abstract is by Santa Fe artist Seymour Tubis (1919-1993). Tubis studied at the Art Students League with Hans Hofmann (1946-1949). He exhibited in Paris in 1950 and won praise from Georges Braque. He was also chair of the Fine Art Department at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe (1963-1980). Signed lower right. The piece will be shipped in a mat to fit a standard sized frame.
