He attended Loyola University in Chicago before transferring to Northern Arizona University, but was ultimately was inspired by Western art after attending an exhibition at the Phoenix Art Museum. To fully understand the life and character of a cowboy he rode and worked with them on ranches. Anton likes to paint the personality and emotion of a scene rather than a chronological sequence of events. Today these artworks are on display in many renowned museums, including Gilcrease and The Old West Museum as well as other prestigious corporate collections: Sears, Dupont and Bank Of America.
