In the 1950s and 60s Grambs worked on many commissions. This drawing was probably for a magazine, perhaps House and Garden or House Beautiful. It is signed and dated in pencil on the reverse 'Grambs Miller, used 12/20/54.'
The dimensions 8 3/4 x 14 1/2 inches are for the full sheet. With sizing or coating, traces of ink, tape, and scuffs, on both sides of the sheet. Printed ink number 49684 on the reverse.
It is also signed in pencil at the lower right, under the mushrooms.
