Blanche Grambs
Blanche Grambs, (Young Owl)

1975, about

About the Item

Blanche Grambs, whose career started with the WPA, was an extremely skilled draftsperson. Her birds are masterful. Although we use the word 'pencil' for medium, this is actually a silver point drawing on gray-coated paper. Every very delicate feather of this watchful young owl is a line or a mark. This drawing is signed in pencil. The dimensions are for the size of the sheet.
