Calo Carratalá refashions the landscape and its elements drawing on his direct experience of the locations and the feelings the spaces gave him. Calo Carratalá is a contemporary Spanish artist, based in Valencia, specializing in landscapes. With a passion for traveling, he has visited the Amazon, Colorado, the Alps and the Pyrenees and even the forests of Norway : always armed with sketching pad, the artist sketches the sensations he obtains from the different places he visits. Similar to the artists from the romantic period, Calo Carratalá portrays a natural landscape which is both agitated, perhaps even worrying, and also grandiose inciting admiration and contemplation.
